How It Works

General Information
Which Bin was designed to save the user time, money, and energy. We think you will find this to be the case a dozen times over. You'll save time by being able to find your catalogued items quickly. You'll knowing which box something is in and where that box is. You'll save money by not having to rebuy things you need but can't find and you'll save energy by being able to go right to the box something is stored in rather than opening box after box looking for an item.

We have not designed an app for Which Bin (as of yet) but the web site has been optimized for mobile devices. Once you have an account, scanning one of the QR codes on your customized labels will take you directly to an easy-to-use menu so you can get started.

After purchasing your labels, storing your data is free for the first six months; after which you will be automatically charged an annual fee of $6 for data retention. You can cancel at any time. Your data will be removed at the end of your subscription regardless of when you cancel. There are no refunds.

Ordering
Once you click on the "Get Started" button, you'll be taken to the order form. Here you will choose whether you want to buy labels or gift certificates that can be given to someone else. Each label contains a unique QR code assigned only to you.

We use PayPal as our payment option because it lets you choose to pay with PayPal, a credit card, or Venmo.

Once Which Bin processes your payment, you will be emailed your order confirmation and your order will be processed. Your labels or certificate(s) will be mailed by USPS to the address you provide.

Using Your Labels
Once you receive your labels, log back into Which Bin and scan the QR code on your first label. You will be taken to a menu where you can create your first bin. Each bin must be assigned a unique name (ie. craft supplies 1, craft supplies 2, etc.). Once you have a bin created, you can add items to that bin. You have the option of adding photos to your items, if needed, or you can take a photo of your box or bin once it's full to get a general idea of its contents. Photos are not required.

Which Bin's flexible system let's you add as much, or as little, detail as you wish. Its robust search option will find what you are looking for based on the title and description. You can search for items or simply scan the QR code on the label (attached to your box or bin) for a list of that box's contents.

You can delete items or an entire bin and start over with the contents. If you find, you need more labels, simply order another supply and they will be added to your current count of bins in our system.
